A woman-owned coffee roaster, barely a year old, looking to make a coffee stain on the web.
I was asked to take the Needmore brand promise (“Unassuming kindness, through coffee”), and create a fresh website that gave visitors a homey, rustic vibe that drew in the new customers and was instantly recognizable by all who visited the shop.
After taking stock of the rustic materials and imported espresso goods used to construct the cafe's ambience, I modernized Needmore's brand assets to be extensible across digital and physical product packaging.
Needmore’s brand assets were held back by non-extensible font packages, in need of updating. I paired the calligraphic Alegreya Serif for a sense of the human touch, with the ever-punchy Poppins Sans to give the merch new life, across product lines.
In addition, I expanded the Needmore color palette. Previously only one color (Needmore Orange), I added its complement, and a range of selected shades now found throughout their marketing materials.
Lastly, I coordinated photo shoots and content marketing to create assets for the new website.
